PTI Tech, a precision manufacturer of complex plastic and metal components is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to win new business for our thriving organization. The ideal candidate is a tireless hunter with a minimum of 7 years’ sales experience in an engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in metal injection molding (MIM). You will bring a robust book of business and a stellar track record of driving new business and growing sales revenue.

This job requires approximately 20% travel. PTI Tech is located in Clifton, New Jersey. This is a remote job. If the candidate resides in the New York tri-state area and can visit the headquarters occasionally that’s a plus but it’s not required. The PTI Tech Business Development Manager reports to the President. This position offers a base annual salary with performance incentives.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for building an effective and continual pipeline of opportunities and securing new business
• Effectively establish new client relationships and serve as their go-to resource for helping them solve complex, precision-engineered part solutions in their business
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on creating/revising strategic sales & GTM plan, value proposition, sales process, industry targeting, sales and project management processes and sales collateral
• Hunt for new business both within existing customer industries (Aerospace, medical, defense and industrial) and create new relationships in other sectors to diversify PTI Tech’s client base
• Provide value and support to OEM customers in sourcing, procurement, product design, engineering and operations
• Build relationships selling custom precision manufacturing, value added services and supply chain solutions
• Use insight and consultative selling techniques to advise clients how PTI Tech’s extensive capabilities can support their organizational needs
• Demonstrate the value of PTI Tech’s offerings and drive urgency for deal closure by highlighting the lost opportunity of not choosing PTI Tech
• Continually update CRM (Monday) with company and contact information, status of calls, opportunities to pursue


Skills and Qualifications
• 7 plus years’ sales experience in precision manufacturing, preferably in Powder Metallurgy / MIM
• Bachelor’s degree required; engineering degree preferred
• Demonstrated “hunter” mentality for finding, developing, and delivering new business
• Savvy at personalizing communications to fit the client’s needs; highly effective at presenting
formally & informally; outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated and coachable; takes ownership and welcomes feedback
• Stellar time management skills, highly organized, masterful at follow-up
• Boundless energy, sense of humor and curiosity to learn
• Knowledge of CRM software and MS Office & Excel (required)
