Timeline

PTI founded in Bloomfield, New Jersey, by the late great Mel Goldenberg, Princeton University alumnus in organic chemistry. Vision was to provide high-quality, cutting-edge precision injection molding services to aerospace, medical, and defense industries.
PTI relocates to a 40,000 sq. ft. facility in Clifton, New Jersey.
PTI pushes forward with Metal Injection Molding (MIM), partnering with AlliedSignal/Honeywell in developing MIM feedstocks for large components.
PTI acquires MIM technology from Honeywell.
PTI is awarded a $5 million research grant from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Advanced Technology Program to expand commercial development of MIM technology. PTI designs and manufactures the largest MIM component to date: an Inconel 718 aerospace airflow regulating body.
PTI purchases and moves to its current headquarters, a sprawling 100,000 sq. ft. facility in Clifton, New Jersey.
Mel’s son, Neal Goldenberg, takes over as president and continues to lead PTI with the same commitment to quality, innovation, and service.
PTI acquires advanced ceramic (CIM) technology from Quest Technology, pushing the limits of injection molding and sintering.
PTI brings mold manufacturing and advanced post-operations in-house after acquiring Polmold Tooling, Inc., while also earning ISO 9001:2008 and AS9100C aerospace quality certifications.
Today PTI Tech supports some of the world’s most innovative “technology-first” companies and institutions across mission-critical applications, from surgical instruments to fighter aircraft components.
